Authentic Swiss Floral and Windmill Paintings

Preparation of the slate

1. Prior to painting, the correct size of slate has to be chosen

2. Holes are drilled to take the cord for hanging the slate

3.The slate is prepared with sandpaper

4. The slate is thoroughly cleaned with a special solution.

5. When completely dry, the slate is treated with a sealant.

6. When the sealant has completely dried, which is usually the next day, painting can begin. When the paint is dry, it is again treated with a sealant, and finally it gets a coat or two of clear varnish

8. You will notice that each painting is on a different shape of slate. Each shape is unique.

This all is quite time consuming and when one takes all of this into consideration, the price of £5 to £30 depending on the size of slate and complexity of the painting, is very good value for money.

Each picture is individually hand painted
